Choosing Product Galleries, Sticky Cart and Before/After Tools
Choose optional storefront tools according to the product story and buying journey.

Zoom supports close inspection, but some catalogs benefit from additional discovery, comparison or purchase tools. Choose each feature for a specific customer question instead of enabling everything on every page.
Use a shoppable gallery for discovery
A gallery page can organize campaign photography, collections or complete looks and connect visual content to products. Use clear product tags, predictable destinations and responsive crops. Test keyboard navigation, lightbox controls and mobile spacing before promoting the page.
Use Sticky Cart on long product pages
A sticky purchase bar keeps the selected variant, quantity, price and Add to cart action available after the main form scrolls away. It is most useful when product descriptions, size guidance or rich media create a long page. The bar should follow Shopify’s native cart behavior, never cover important controls and remain optional.
Use Before/After for a real comparison
A comparison slider is effective for products with a meaningful visual change. Use two images with similar framing, angle and dimensions. Store images per product through metafields and hide the block when either image is missing. Label the states clearly so the result is not misleading.
Match the tool to the journey
- Zoom: inspect material, workmanship and small details.
- Gallery page: discover products through editorial imagery.
- Sticky Cart: keep purchasing accessible on long pages.
- Before/After: compare two clearly defined visual states.
Roll out one change at a time
- Define the customer problem the feature should solve.
- Enable it on a duplicate theme or limited template.
- Test mobile, desktop, variants and cart behavior.
- Check layout stability and primary-image loading.
- Publish, then monitor support questions and conversion behavior.
Keep the storefront focused
More controls do not automatically create a better product page. Maintain clear hierarchy, sufficient spacing and one obvious purchase action. Recheck the storefront after theme updates and remove features that repeat information or compete for attention.
